Hearts of Oak captain Fatawu Mohammed has been handed his first start for the Black Stars against South Africa in the 2022 World Cup qualifier to be played at the FnB Stadium.
The Ghana Premier League winner was drafted into the team after some players failed to make the squad due to COVID-19 issues.
Fatawu Mohammed will be making his debut for the senior national team in this game as the Black Stars search for a second win in the qualifiers.

He replaces Andy Yiadom in the starting line up who has returned to the UK due to his inability to travel to South Africa.
Jonathan Mensah, Majeed Ashimeru, Emmanuel Lomotey, Joel Fameyeh and Yaw Yeboah have been named in the starting lineup to face the Bafana Bafana in Monday’s game.
They come in to replace Jordan Ayew, Andy Yiadom, Jeffrey Schlupp, Daniel Amartey, Daniel Kofi Kyereh and Kamaldeen Sulemana who could not make the trip to South Africa.
