Nsoatreman FC Chief Executive Officer, Major Kwame Baah, says defending league champions, Asante Kotoko would have a tough time if they faced his team in their opening match day fixture of the new Betpawa Ghana Premier League (GPL) season.
Nsoatreman FC had their first GPL game against Asante Kotoko postponed due to Kotoko’s engagement in the CAF Champions League last Monday against Burkinabe side RC Kadiogo.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Wamputu Sports program, Major Kwame Baah acknowledged the fact that though he and his outfit were anxious, excited and were looking forward to their opening match fixture against the defending champions which was postponed due to Asante Kotoko’s engagement in Africa.
“We Nsoatreman football club have a lot of respect for Asante Kotoko because of their achievements. When it comes to the field of play, we put all that aside because we are also a premium club. We are also here to compete and we are not really afraid or scared to face the Porcupine warriors” He told Odiasempa Kwame Oware.
“Looking at our endeavors in the Division one league before gaining promotion here should tell what a club we are.
“Out of thirty-one matches, we only lost one match and went thirty matches unbeaten.
“Our only prayer is that God would make things fall in place so we get to face Kotoko, that is when we can show them what we are also made of” he added.
