Black Queens coach, Bashir Hayford has insisted that Kevin-Prince Boateng must never be recalled back to the senior national team the Black Stars of Ghana.
The US Sassuolo middleman has been out of the national team for the past four years.
The 31-year-old was kicked out of the camp of the Black Stars during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil for showing insubordination.
However, after Ghana’s 1:0 defeat to Kenya in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, several Ghanaian football loving fan have called on Kwesi Appiah to recalled the former Frankfurt star back to the national team.
But Bashir Hayford who also coached Asante Kotoko says there is no need for recalling Boateng back to the Black Stars.
“Why should Kevin-Prince Boateng be given a call-up to the Black Stars?” he quizzed.
“I don’t understand why that guy should be given a call-up to the national team.
He further called on Ghanaians to stop mounting pressure on Kwesi Appiah after Ghana’s defeat to Kenya.
“Ghanaians should stop putting pressure on Kwesi Appiah because he [Kwesi Appiah] believes in his current team,” he told Aseda FM.
