Former Deputy Minister of Information, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has charged the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) put an end to their borrowing.
According to Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the NPP government promised not to borrow whiles in opposition.
Speaking on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’, he said, “NPP should stop borrowing. They said they will not borrow but anytime we wake up from bed, we hear that they have gone for loans. They went for 40 billion but we can’t see any construction of gutters.”
“People are disappointed in NPP. NPP spoke of One District One Factory [1D1F] but there is nothing at Nkroful. They just took metals there.
The 268 factories will not happen. They also spoke about 1million per one constituency, but nothing has happened,” he disclosed.
Over the weekend, President Akufo-Addo announced that, “The Ministry of Finance is considering borrowing a $50 billion Century Bond.”
Nana Addo explained that, the $50 billion Century Bond will provide Ghana the resources to finance its infrastructural and industrial development.
