Jehovah’s Witnesses across the country converged at Baatsona Spintex for their annual convention.
The three- days event dubbed ‘Be Courageous’ took place from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th of August, 2018.
Speaking at the convention, the Chairman for the program, Mr. Enoch K. Kusi encouraged all participants to be courageous in the face of adversity and have faith in Jehovah at all times.
On the second day of the convention, video Demonstrations and bible-based teachings were employed as a means to explain the essence of courage for Christian life. This was in addition to other activities and teachings on “courage”.
Mr. Alexander Appiah, a speaker at the event used the ferocious nature of the lion to buttress his point that Jehovah always protect his children.
‘’Nobody can capture a lion, a lion fights its enemies to protects its cubs and territory from any intruders, hence Jehovah will protect us from the enemy,’’ he said.
Mr. Frederick Adjenim Boateng, in a video demonstration also used the analogy of a horse in battle.
He said, “A well- trained horse is more likely to win in a war than the horse that is not adequately trained for war.”
He likened that to self- discipline and training children to be courageous wherever they go.
The Chairman; Mr. Kusi commended all witnesses and attendees for attending the event and encouraged them to put into practice what they learnt from the various speakers and video demonstrations.
The 3 -days convention is one of 16 conventions scheduled to take place all over the country which is expected to attract over 300,000 witnesses nationwide.
