Ghanaian musician and music producer, Daniel Owusu Agyapong known in showbiz as Danny Beatz has expounded on the reasons why Ghanaian artistes are lagging behind their Nigerian counterparts in terms of music.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra, he said, “One thing about the Nigerians is that, they support and promote their own.”
The ‘Mede Kuku’ hitmaker categorically stated that Ghanaians are only seen to support their own only after there has been a breakthrough and until that perception is changed, things will remain stagnant in the Ghana music industry.
He added that Ghanaians need to accept that they good products in Ghana and the Ghanaian artistes can only go far when they begin to appreciate and promote their own.
Danny Beatz made this statement when he was called in to contribute to the trending issue of Top Ghanaian artistes being snubbed at the just ended Zylofon/Menzgold launch in Nigeria.
Danny Beatz is one of the best music producers currently in Ghana, and he produced the late Ebony’s popular hit track ‘Hustle’.
