The Youth and Sports Ministry has paid the June salary of staff of the Ghana Football Association.
The Staff of the association have not been to work for months now after the Police CID marked the offices of the GFA as a “crime scene” following the Anas Aremeyaw exposé.
Amidst growing fears of job losses, the FIFA/CAF Liaison Team announced on July 9 that “the Government had decided to pay the outstanding salaries of the GFA Staff.”
The workers of the GFA however have had to wait until the end of August to start receiving their salaries.
“Yes, June salary of all the staff has been paid,” spokesperson of the Sports Ministry, Elvis Adjei Baah told starrsportsgh.com adding that “July is currently being worked on.”
