Following the agreement between Ghana and China over their respective economies, intended at deepening the ties of cooperation and the bond of friendship that exists between the two countries since 1957.
Both countries have agreed to join forces and have signed eight key cooperative agreement.
However, Information Ministers designate, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has explained that, the deal with the Chinese is of great benefit to Ghana, hence the $2billion Chinese investment deal will finance infrastructure, railways and roads which will help improve Ghana’s traffic situation.
Speaking specifically on the $2billion Chinese deal for roads, railways and infrastructure on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’, the Information Minister-designate said, “People are suffering, they are not getting it easy with the traffic jam. Even farmers are struggling with their operations. Those who deal in Bauxite do not get it easy because of these same roads. There are a lot of opportunities in this Chinese deal.”
He added, “We have to pray so that enemies will not work against us. The road deal will seize traffic on our roads; this will help us in all ways.”
The $2billion Chinese deal which will finance infrastructure, railway construction project and roads in the country is part of eight agreement deals signed between Ghana and China.
