Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu has called for constitutional reforms that will give traditional rulers and leaders the mandate to play a decisive role in the running of the affairs of Ghana. He made this call when he visited the Flagstaff house this morning.
However, Nana Kwame Ampadu a renowned Hi-life musician, reiterated his support for Otumfuor’s call.
According to Nana Kwame Ampadu, he believes that democracy has reduced the respect that our traditional leaders should enjoy.
He added that involving traditional rulers and leaders will instill some needed discipline and sanity into the democratic dispensation of Ghana.
Speaking to Kwame Afrifa Mensah on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa daben’, Nana Kwame Ampadu said he believes Ghanaians admire their traditional leaders and including them in the day to day running of the affairs in Ghana is a step in the right direction. He called on all well- meaning Ghanaians to support Otumfuor’s call.
