Ghanaian Pastor and renowned radio presenter, Pastor Nyansa Boakwa has taken a swipe at the government and the Christian community with regards to the recent tax allocation imposed on churches.
On his developmental radio show, Nsem Pii on Happy FM, he queried the Christians who have gone to churches with their problems and Members of Parliament who ran to churches when they wanted their positions as MPs about why they are silent about the church taxation.
Pastor Nyansa implored the whole Christian body to add their voices in condemning the Church taxation.
“Where are all the respected men of God in the country, where are the fathers of the land. Why are you all quiet, are your hands in the pocket of the politicians?
“If they won’t speak, the young ones should rise and speak, the problem is that everyone is quiet,” he stated.
According to him, the government should rather help the churches, to help the country and not impose taxes on them.
Pastor Nyansa’s Nsem Pii has been nominated for the best developmental radio show category at this year’s Radio and Television (RTP) awards.
