Dancehall sensation Stonebwoy has clarified in a recent interview with SVTV why he and colleague and rival Shatta Wale cannot unite.
In the interview, Stonebwoy spoke to SVTV from Switzerland, where he currently is for his EOM album tour. He disclosed that he couldn’t unite with Shatta Wale because the way he thinks is completely distinct from the way Shatta does.
This year, we’ve witnessed the two ‘stinging’ each other in some songs. Remember Shatta Wale’s direct diss song to Stonebwoy, ‘No Mercy For the Cripple’? And Stonebwoy’s subtle diss song to Wale, ‘Dirty Enemies’ which featured black stars skipper Asamoah Gyan.—Don’t forget ‘Obiaa Woni Master’ by Yaa Pono ft Stonebwoy.
Giving an instance of one of the things, Shatta Wale has done to make him feel that way, he mentioned that Shatta Wale at a point in time did a song and accused him (Stonebwoy) of having killed his own mother. Stonebwoy also added that Shatta Wale is not wise.
He feels uniting with Shatta Wale wouldn’t bring make any drastic difference as they are both doing their music and everyone making is making their own achievements and that he has no issues with Shatta.
He also hinted that, if a time comes for collaboration between the two, he would gladly do it, although it’s not something he’s really expecting.
Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale have been music rivals for a long time that notwithstanding they are signed under the same record label.
