As part of YFM’s 10 years anniversary celebrations, Ghana’s number one urban station, is embarking on a clean up exercise campaign targeting 10 slums in the country.
Director at Global Media Alliance Broadcast Company, Timothy Kakari explained that, YFM has engaged the Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources Joseph Kofi Adda, as part of the station’s intention to fight sanitation issues in the country.
As part of the cleanup exercise, which will take place from September to November this year, Mr. Kakari indicated, “YFM will collaborate with Ghanaian celebrities to clean Ghana. If we come to your community, we will collaborate with any celebrity who resides there to help drive the youth to support us because YFM is known for playing their songs.”
“NGOs, the youth and everybody are invited. The Ministry of Sanitation is also supporting us so if you can support us with gloves, rakes, brooms and so on, we will appreciate it,” Mr. Karikari said on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’.
YFM is currently the number one music station in Ghana.
