Treasurer of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Isaac Amoako has expressed his disappointment in claims made by Dan Kweku Yeboah that his outfit has officially written to the two-man CAF/FIFA Liaison team to truncate the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League campaign.
On Wednesday, the Public Relations Officer of the two-man CAF/FIFA liaison team, Dan Kweku Yeboah in an interview with Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports stated that GHALCA, which is the mother body of clubs in Ghana, has officially asked his outfit to nullify the 2017/18 league season as they continue to search for solution to football crises in the country.
However, Mr. Amoako reacted angrily to the aforementioned claims and expatiated on the content of the letter during an interview on the same platform.
“We wrote to the clubs to get their views on the subject as to whether the league should continue or not. Most of the clubs didn’t respond to their letters because they know that the liaison team doesn’t have the mandate to organise the league. How can we advice them to continue? he added.
He refuted claims of disunity amongst the membership of the association saying, some of the clubs wanted the league to continue whilst others thought otherwise
“The GFA is under injunction so if we continue the league who will organise it? he quizzed
