Ghanaian middleweight boxer Obodai Sai has vowed to stop his Namibian opponent Walter Kautondokwa in the 8th round as they clash at the Bokum Arena today for the WBO Africa Middleweight title which is held by the Namibia.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports, Sai assured his fans not to be overawed by the records and physique of his opponents but they should rather storm the Arena to offer their support to him.
“I will stop my opponent in round 8. I’m not frightened by his undefeated status because he has fought only 14 times compared to my 34. There’s no way he can go beyond the 8th round. I want all my fans to come and support me so I can hand him a punishment of his life.” Obodai Sai told Happy FM.
Kautondokwa, who is undefeated in 14th fights, will be defending his WBO Africa middleweight belt against Sai who holds the WBO interim Africa middleweight belt.
Both boxers will also take a shot at the vacant IBF Africa middleweight belt.
There will be a rematch clash between Michael Ansah and Patrick Okine. Okine won the first clash two months ago when he scored a TKO in round four against Ansah, their clash will be a lightweight contest scheduled for ten rounds.
Emmanuel Martey will make his first defense of his national super middleweight title when he comes up against Abdul Karim.
