Ex Ghana international Nii Odartey has revealed that he nearly committed suicide when it came out that the three children he was supposed to have with his Gloria weren’t his biological children.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports the former Anderlecht player maker intimated that the unpleasant news hit him hard in the face but he managed to scrap through all this while.
“I almost committed suicide when I got the news that the three children I have taken care of all this while, aren’t my children. It’s not an experience I want anyone to go through. It’s been a terrible and unpleasant four years for me.” Odartey Lamptey told Happy FM.
An High Court in Accra presided over by Justice Cecilia Don-Chebe Agbevey ruled on Wednesday rubbished a case in which Odartey’s ex wife filed wanting to claim 50% of his estate.
Gloria Lamptey, who is now officially the ex-wife of the former West Ham United starlet has been allocated Nii Lamptey’s property located at Dome as he had proposed.
She has also been ordered to vacate Nii Odartey Lamptey’s 7-bedroom apartment in East Legon within 30 days.
The court is also said to have awarded 40 per cent of a GHc 500,000 sum as alimony to the ex-wife, a cost Odartey Lamptey reportedly intends to appeal.
