
The Union Ghana will host a Select Football Side from the Parliament of Ghana to a May Day football match at the Legon Ajax Park, University of Ghana at 7:30 am on Monday, May 1, 2017.
The Union Ghana is a social group of professionals ranging from lawyers, doctors, media persons, pharmacists, bankers, lecturers, insurers, Members of Parliaments, Ministers of State etc who play football at University of Ghana campus on Saturdays and holidays to foster unity, brotherliness and network.
The Union will feature members such as its current President William Arthur, CEO Forms Capital, Kojo Addea-Mensah, Group CEO Data Bank Investment, Lawyer Ace Ankoma, Chairman Akwasi Agyemang of Tourism Authority, Earl Ankrah of Fair Wages Commission, GFA Disciplinary Committee Chairman, Prosper Harrison Addo, Philip Ayensu of X Men, Anthony Awotwe, West Africa Manager, Mentos, Emmanuel Adu Sarkodee Group CEO, CDH Group of Companies, Lawyer Gabby Otchere Darko, Kofi Owusu of TV Africa, Kodjo Mensah Sosuh, Running Mate to Nana Konadu, Dr Takyi of Korle Bu, CK Akonnor, Head coach of Ashanti Gold SC and Kurt Okraku of Dreams FC among many others.
The Select Team of Parliament will include staff and some Members of Parliament like Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, Hon. Nii Lante Vanderpuye, Hon. Isaac Asiamah (Sports Minister), Hon. Bryan Acheampong, Min of State, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah Dep Information Minister, Suhiyini Alhassan and few others.
Hon. Bryan Acheapong and Hon. Baba Jamil who are both members of The Union and are linked with Parliament may play for both sides.
The match which will be used by both teams to network, will allowed multiple substitutions to allow full participation and avoid cramps on Tuesday, a working day.
The game will also offer a remarkable opportunity to mingle, network and build a relationship between The Union members and members and staff parliamentarians.
