Hearts of Oak’s new head coach, Yaw Preko has chosen former Kotoko defender Sammy Addo as his assistant for the last three games of the club.
Yaw Preko takes over from Portuguese coach Sergio Traguil who has be deployed to the junior side of Hearts of Oak, Auroras, which he was initially billed to be in charge of.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports, Preko indicated that he rejected previous on him to take charge of the team as the head coach because he believed the time wasn’t right.
“Sammy Addo is the one who is coming to assist me for these last three games. In fact I rejected initial calls to take over the club as head coach because I felt the timing wasn’t right. As it stands now, the time is right for me to take over.” Yaw Preko told Happy FM.
Hearts of Oak’s performance in the second round of the Ghana Premier League has been abysmal with the club going winless in their last seven games.
