14 year old Kaya Forson comes last in first Olympic attempt

14 year old Ghanaian swimmer, Kaya Forson came last in the first heat of the 200m women’s freestyle  as she opened Ghana’s account at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Kaya, who made a time of 2:16:02, fell behind Matelia Buadromo who made a time of 2:05:49 and Shivani Kataria who also clocked 2:09:30.
Despite not progressing to the next stage, Kaya, who is based in Spain, made her personal best time in the process.
It is expected that she will build on the experience garnered from the this Olympic Games for further engagements.
Kaya Forson is the first Ghanaian swimmer to represent Ghana at the Olympic Games.
