Tamale City head coach, Hamza Mohammed, has disclosed that 12 players in his team had to be hospitalized after last Sunday’s incident.
Tamale City were brutally assaulted after their game against Baffour Soccer FC in the Division One League.
The game end 1-1 at the Baffour Soccer Academy in Nsuatre.
Coach Hamza Mohammed in an interview with Happy Sports said, “12 players were hospitalized after the incident. This morning four of our players have been discharged. We were locked at the dressing room for over two hours. The assault started right from the stadium.
“In all my life as a footballer I haven’t seen this before”.
The former Asante Kotoko player also denied claims made by Baffour Awuah FC Public Relations Officer that they are been supported to qualify for the Ghana Premier League.
“We have been consistent since we joined the league. If not for Anas No.12 we should have been in the league. Nobody is supporting us, it would have been the late Jons Abu Alhassan”.
