Swansea and Aston Villa are in negotiations about a swap deal involving Ghana attacker Jordan Ayew and Neil Taylor, according to Sky.
Ayew is currently on international duty with Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations where he put up a man of the match performance against DR Congo in their quarter-final clash to book a semi-final showdown with Cameroon on Thursday.
Swansea have made three additions to their squad in the January transfer window.
They paid PSV Eindhoven a fee of £4m for Luciano Narsingh and £4.5m each for Tottenham’s Tom Carroll and Martin Olsson from Norwich City.
Villa have also been very active this month, with manager Steve Bruce completing deals for five new additions.
