Ghana attacker Jordan Ayew has revealed that his extreme exhibition of emotions after his goal against DR Congo was because he had always dreamt of scoring in big games.
The Aston Villa linchpin said his emotions went pent high when he realised that his goal had brought joy to his teammates, the fans in the stadium as well as the supporters at home.
The nimble footed footed attacker who put up a man of the match performance against The Leopards admitted that the primary aim of every striker is to score goals but some goals are very special.
“I thank God for this goal. The aim of a striker is to score goals but some times you score some goals that are really important and you see your teammates so happy, the bench happy and the supporters and the country so happy so when you think about all these things, they make you so emotional and as a kid, I always thought of scoring in big games.” Jordan told the media after the stunning performance.
Ghana won the game 2-1 and will clash with Cameroon on Thursday.
