2019 is expected to provide movie lovers with a new slate of upcoming movies to get excited about. Some of these upcoming movies are sequels and prequels which will keep viewers at the edge of their seats.
In no particular order, these are the 10 upcoming movies in 2019 that every movie lover must not miss for anything in the world
1. The Lion King.
Is a photorealistic computer animated remake of Disney’s traditionally animated 1994 film of the same name, From Disney Live Action director Jon Favreau. “The Lion King” journeys to the African savannah where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.

The Lion King is due for release in July 2019.
If you are a fan of the X-Men sequel, then you should look out for 2 and 3
2. X-Men: The New Mutants.
This is based on the Marvel Comics team of the same name and distributed by 20th Century Fox. In The New Mutants, a group of young mutant held in a secret facility fight to save themselves.The film is directed by Josh Boone from a screenplay by himself and Knate Lee.
Cast: Anya Taylor-Joy , Maisie Williams Charlie Heaton, Henry Zaga, Blu Hunt , and Alice Braga. X-Men: The New Mutants is due for release in August 2019.
3. X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
The X-Men face their most formidable and powerful foe when one of their own, Jean Grey, starts to spiral out of control. During a rescue mission in outer space, Jean is nearly killed when she’s hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. The X-Men must now band together to save her soul and battle aliens that want to use Grey’s new abilities to rule the galaxy.
Cast: Sophie Turner (Jean Gray), Jessica Chastain (Smith), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), James McAviy (Professor X) etc. X-Men: Dark Phoenix is due for release 2nd November 2019.
4. Jumanji: Welcome to The Jungle 2
If you enjoyed the first part of this movie, the 2 is expected to be even more intense and funny. The plot is still under wraps but you are guaranteed total excitement and laughter in a movie involving Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart. Jumanji: Welcome to The Jungle 2 is due for release 13th December 2019.
5. Avengers: Endgame
Adrift in space with no food or water, Tony Stark sends a message to Pepper Potts as his oxygen supply starts to dwindle. Meanwhile, the remaining Avengers — Thor, Black Widow, Captain America and Bruce Banner — must figure out a way to bring back their vanquished allies for an epic showdown with Thanos — the evil demigod who decimated the planet and the universe.
Cast: Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jnr (Iron man), Mark Rufallo (Hulk).
Avengers: Endgame will be released in the UK and US on April 26, 2019.
6. Aladdin
live-action retelling of the 1992 Disney film of the same name.
Starring: Will Smith, Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott.
7. Hobbs and Shaw
Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw [1] is an upcoming action film directed by David Leitch and written by Chris Morgan. It is a spin-off of The Fast & Furious series featuring two characters, Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw in the lead roles. The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Vanessa Kirby and Idris Elba. The film is scheduled to be released on August 2, 2019 by Universal Pictures.
8. Star Wars: Episode IX
As the culmination of the third Star Wars film trilogy, the still-untitled Episode IX will probably be 2019’s most anticipated movie of the year. Whether you loved the last Jedi or hated it, the misadventures of Ray Finn, and Poe Dameron are going to be the only thing anyone wants to talk about for a good portion of next year, so you might as well mark your calendar to pre-order tickets now.
It’s expected to be released December 20.
9. Hellboy
Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge.
Starring: David Harbour (Hopper from Stranger Things), Milla Jovovich and Ian McShane.
Hellboy is due for release in January 2019
10. Men in Black International
With Will Smith over at Disney playing the Genie in Aladdin, his old franchise is getting some new lifeblood. Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson are the new duo protecting the galaxy, with Liam Neeson and Emma Thompson as their elder counterparts. The action largely moves to London, but those worms are still hanging around.
