Iraq attack: Bomber kills eight at Haditha bank

iraq_bombing_1A suicide bomber has targeted a state-owned bank in the northern Iraqi town of Haditha, killing at least eight people.

At least eight others were wounded in the midday blast, which is said to have hit people waiting at the al-Rafidain bank to collect their salaries.

Security personnel were said to be among those killed.

Hosni Mubarak: Egypt's former leader given travel ban

nbreakEgypt's public prosecutor has issued a travel ban on former President Hosni Mubarak and his family.

Mr Mubarak stepped down on 11 February, after almost 30 years in power, in the wake of mounting public protests.

Since then he has been living in his villa in the resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.

Mr Mubarak handed power to the military which has appointed an interim government to rule until a new constitution can be approved and elections held.

His comments came in a lengthy TV address to the nation broadcast as anti-government protests spread to the capital Tripoli.
