SUPPORTERS OF Ghana’s largest opposition political party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), have been cautioned to be circumspect about the people they communicate with on facebook or while using the internet.

THOUSANDS OF New Patriotic Party (NPP) members and well-wishers drawn from across the country trooped to the Christ Church Anglican Cathedral in Cape Coast in the Central Region to mourn with the family of Kojo Mensah alias Kojo Alata, a founding member of the NPP in the region who died after a short illness on May 2, 2011.

The New Patriotic Party is asking Government to make full disclosure of its engagements with Kosmos Energy, one of the partners in the Jubilee Oil Field in relation to the payment of fines imposed on the company in 2010 for oil spillage.
The party says Government’s announcement that it has reached an amicable settlement with Kosmos Energy to pay 15 million dollars as fine for the oil spillage is not convincing enough.

The 2012 Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has begun his nationwide “listening campaign” in the Eastern Region.
He will be in the region for eight days and continue to the Central Region from July 13.

The personality and influence of former President John Agyekum Kufuor towers and looms largely on the contemporary history of the New Patriotic Party(NPP).
A Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Busia administration between 1969 and 1972 and also a former Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya, ex-President Kufuor’s role in the NPP since its formation in 1992 has not been in doubt.
