It was all joy at the Accra International Conference Centre when 35 couples were brought together in holy matrimony at the 8th Happy FM Mass Wedding.
Family, friends, loved ones, as well as well-wishers thronged the premises of the Conference Centre in support of the couples.
The grooms arrived, looking good in their suits, and anxiously waited for the arrival of their brides. The brides who were in no hurry to turn up; eventually arrived, beaming with smiles and excitement.
Executives of Global Media Alliance and its affiliate companies graced the occasion to make it a memorable one.
Managing Director of Global Media Alliance, Ernest Boateng in a brief message advised the couples to emulate the practice of selflessness and sacrifice as Happy FM had just demonstrated in the organization of the event.
He also indicated how Happy FM had spearheaded the mass wedding for the past eight years.
He ended his speech with a wish; “I wish the couples a fruitful, a joyful, and ever fresh marriage.”
The dynamic trio in gospel music; Daughters of Glorious Jesus sparked the auditorium with some of their old tunes; “Bebree” and “Menya anigye” to set the auditorium into dancing mood.
Other artistes that rocked the venue were Nicholas Omane Acheampong and Obaayaa Grace, who was succeeded by Nana Yaw Perbi .
Officiating minister, Reverend Dr. Arthur Mensah blessed the couple afterwards, binding them together as husbands and wives.
Marriage certificates were presented to the newly wedded couples after which executives of Global Media Alliance indicated that money accrued from the ceremony will be sent to the Osu Children’s home.
The couples then walked out of the auditorium with their families to share the moment leaving the premises for Cleaver House in Accra Central for the wedding reception.
