Ace legal practitioner Moses Foh-Amoaning has stated that the newly-appointed Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Perry Curtis Okudzeto, will struggle to help Isaac Asiamah sanitize sports in Ghana.
Mr. Okudzeto replaces former Deputy Minister of Sports, Pius Enam Hadzide, who has been moved to the Ministry of Information as a deputy minister.
Even though the press release from the Jubilee House did not state why Hadzide was taken away from the Sports Ministry, reports indicate that there was a break down in the working relation between himself the pair.
According to sources, Isaac Asiamah recommended the suspension of Pius Hadzide after the Australian Commonwealth Games visa scandal.
Hadzide was suspended by the President before investigations into the saga began but he was reinstated in July.
The relationship never recovered and so the latest reshuffle may be seen as one that potentially suits both parties.
According to Foh-Amoaning, he does not know the experience Perry has in the field of sports and that could pose a challenge to him and the minister.
Speaking to Ohene Bampoe-Brenya on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports, Foh Amoaning who is also a sports enthusiasts, claimed that; “To be honest I don’t know Perry directly but I have heard about him and I don’t pity him at all because Ghana sports is in a deep hole especially with football.”
He added, “The Minister himself need a lot of help and he seems to be new, it’s like you are in the storm and looking for somebody who will paddle the cannon now the person is coming to learn how to paddle the cannon then we are in danger.”
“We needed somebody who was knowledgeable that can help in details, Perry is sharp, young and intelligent and he has a lot to learn,” he opined.
“I am sad because the Minister will struggle because he alone cannot do it alone. Look at the stage in which Ghana Football so if Minister travels who deputizes,” he deduced.
