Popular Ghanaian gospel artiste, OJ says Joe Mettle deserved the Artiste of the Year accolade he won last year.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra Punchlinez segment, OJ asserted that if noise causes things to change then one can say noise making is important but he hasn’t heard anybody making noise against the award given to Joe Mettle.
Known in private life as Michael Oware Sakyi, OJ believes that hard work and efforts of Joe Mettle were appreciated and therefore deserves the award.
He added that if one doesn’t listen to someone’s song, that doesn’t mean the artist is not working and that his biggest problem with people who hardly go to church is that they hardly listen or follow gospel songs which doesn’t mean those who attend church don’t take record of gospel songs.
“There are some people who don’t listen to circular songs, don’t go to clubs and and have their radio tuned to one particular station. Some have only two stations where they listen to so when you talk of Ebony or Shata Wale’s songs, such a person could have no knowledge of it.”
“Joe Mettle has worked hard and deserves the award and this awarded makes some of us very happy and proud about.” OJ concluded.
