A stupendous performance from the Black Stars saw Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Teye Partey netting a hat trick as Ghana crushed the Red Devils of Congo 5-1 in their 2018 World Cup qualifier.
The hat trick makes it four for Partey in his last games for the Ghana national senior football team.
Ghana opened the account through returnee striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom on the 23rd minute after slotting in from close range while Partey got the second for Ghana three minutes later.
The Congolese pulled one back through Illoy Ayyet but the Black Stars restored their 2-goal lead before the break after Thomas Partey scored from an acute angle before the break.
Ghana continued from where they left off as Thomas Teye Partey completed his hat trick on the 69th minute, making it four for Ghana before Yiadom grabbed his brace, and Ghana’s fifth, with five minutes to go.
Ghana have now amassed five points from the four games played so far in the qualifiers.
