Despite grave rumours making rounds that head coach of the Black Stars Avram Grant might not make the trip to Egypt due to security issues, the Israeli trainer has landed at the Alexandria International Airport together with his charges in high spirit.
The team flew in with a private jet and Happy 98.9 FM’s reporter on the ground, Jeffries Simtim-koree AKA Chaskele reports that Grant has some special security personnel with him as a precautionary measure.
He also reports that the Black Stars will rest at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Alexandria. He adds that it is a polished upscale hotel, set in the Alex West district which is 1.8 km from the Graeco-Roman Museum and 5 km from Alexandria International Airport.
Ghana will play as guests to the Pharaohs of Egypt on Sunday and there will be continuous live updates from both camps as well as live commentary from 3:30 pm on Happy 98.9 FM.
The trip is sponsored by Ice Gold Mineral water and Kenpong Travel and Tours.
